Delete your data
Polam has no account and no server. Your plots are on your phone, so you can delete them yourself. There is nothing for us to delete.
Delete one plot
- Open the plot from your list of plots.
- Tap Delete. You can undo it for a few seconds.
Delete everything from your phone
Deleting cannot be undone. If you may want your plots later, save a backup file first.
- Open your phone’s Settings.
- Tap Apps, then tap Polam.
- Tap Storage, then tap Clear storage. Or uninstall the app.
Menu names can differ a little from phone to phone.
Delete backup files you saved
Backup files are yours: the app cannot reach them after you save them. Open your phone’s Files app and find files with names like polam-backup-2026-10-13.json. Delete them. If you sent a backup file to someone or to cloud storage, delete it there too.
Delete reports and links you shared
Plot reports, texts and plot links you shared stay in the chats and apps you sent them to. Delete them there. A plot link holds the plot itself, so we cannot switch it off: anyone who already has it can still open it.
Delete Android’s backup from your Google account
- Open the Google Drive app.
- Tap Menu, then tap Backups.
- Choose your phone’s backup, then tap Delete backup.
This deletes the whole backup of that phone, not only Polam. To stop future backups, open Settings, then Google, then Backup, and turn backup off.
Reset or delete your advertising ID
- Open Settings, then Privacy, then Ads. On some phones, open Settings, then Google, then Ads.
- Tap Delete advertising ID, or tap Reset advertising ID.
Clearing the app’s storage also clears your ad consent choice. The app asks again before it shows an ad.
Data held by Google
Data that Google Maps, the phone’s place search and AdMob collect is held by Google under its own privacy policy, which explains your choices.
